WAG
General
WAG was formed in the 1960s by a
group of volunteer enthusiasts who recognised that many youngsters were unable
to participate in certain pastimes without joining specialised Clubs. WAG
currently instruct in Sailing, Canoeing and Sub-Aqua Diving.
WAG is affiliated to the Surrey
Council for Voluntary Youth Services and Surrey Schools Sailing Association (www.sssa.org.uk).
Sailing
Sailing takes place at Littleton
Lake, Littleton Lane, Shepperton on Tuesday evenings during term time only.
Low-cost
introduction to dinghy sailing with progressive courses covering the RYA Youth
Sailing Scheme G11, Stage 1, 2 and 3. Places are limited so it is essential to
book early. Applicants must be able to swim and be a minimum of 11 years old.
(Some Stage One courses may be available to younger applicants, please enquire).
Courses start in April, and are
supervised by a RYA Senior Instructor, Dinghy Instructors and Assistants. All
are volunteers, are DOH cleared and give their time freely.

Canoeing & Diving
Canoeing and Diving take place
every Wednesday evening at Woking Swimming Pool, from approximately 2030 hours.
