Offshore Young Mariners

General information

Offshore Young Mariners is a small charity that enables young people (12 +) to experience the thrill, excitement, challenge and reward of sailing small craft in rivers, estuaries and coastal waters.

The Charity has two Drascombe Luggers that can be transported anywhere in the country trailed behind the average family car or minibus. The boats are fully equipped with all safety gear and can be hired with or without skippers.

These boats are ideal for the more adventurous to undertake an expedition or exploration especially for the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, uniformed organisations or an alternative for the village Youth Club. Each boat can accommodate up to 4 people plus an instructor, with a camping type sleeping arrangement under a deck tent.

Contact details

If you are interested in taking up the challenge contact Martin Cusselle on 0770 621426.
