The Lychgate Youth Trust, a registered charity, was formed in
August 2000 to recruit and finance a youth worker for the benefit of all the young people
of the 6 villages that fall within the 3 parishes of Albury, Chilworth and Shere. The target age group
is 12-18, but in the early stages the entry age will be 9.
Bruce Paterson joined us in February 2002 and now enjoys a high profile throughout our community. As of May 2004, we have over 400 young people on our register and a number of clubs have been formed, which include:

CRUSADERS - an outreach club for 7-17 year olds offering sports activities and outings, with time for exploring issues facing young people today. |

SUNDAY CLUB - a club for 5-10 year olds to explore the Christian Faith. |
|
XPLODE - a Sunday Club for the 11+ for exploring the Christian Faith. |
|
XTREME - a club for adventurous teenagers. Social interaction, wide range of sporting activities and outings to Brighton, Calais etc. |

PIZZA - a club for 11+ to meet over pizzas and discuss issues affecting their lives. |
|
QUEST - a club for teenagers - social interaction and looking at the meaning of Faith. |
|
GASP - a club for 14-17 year olds providing a custom-built motor workshop facility where boys (Wed & Fri), and girls (Mon) can learn basics of motor mechanics, off-road driving and responsibilities of car ownership. |

ASK (Albury Superkids) - a club for 3-6 year olds. |
