Aims

bulletTo encourage and support the churches work among young people.
bulletTo provide training for leaders and clergy; ensure that good practice is followed.
bulletTo arrange special events for young people.
bulletTo disseminate information to leaders, young people and church hierarchy.
bulletTo keep abreast of the constantly evolving world of young people.

Services Offered to Young People

Diocesan level: youth camps, Diocesan football league, encouragement and support for those within the churches governing structures, mailings and organised days on a variety of subjects, training as Junior Church leaders.

Parish level: as each parish is responsible for their own work, the services offered can vary in every community, from study groups, cell groups, church choirs and music groups, to sports groups, youth clubs and drop-in centres. There can be numerous opportunities to participate in the life of the church, with training and support from the leadership.

Profile of Users

Predominantly young people with some connection to their church, either through membership, family, friends, school, or via another activity they attend on church premises.
