The Girls' Brigade is a national and international organisation. As a Christian youth organisation the Brigade

  1. has a Christian basis
  2. is working as a part of the Christian Church, within approved denominations
  3. has a Christian leadership.

Our organisation is open to girls from the age of 4 years upwards and by offering our  programme encourages spiritual development.

Surrey Downs District consists of 7 companies - Addlestone, Alton, Farnham, 1st Fleet, 2nd Fleet, New Haw and Woking.  Our programme book is called The  SPES Files (Latin for Hope) and covers subjects from S-Spiritual, P-Physical, E - Educational and S -Service and all Companies have activities based on these subjects.  All Companies have Church Parades during the year and we as a District meet together for different activities.  This year our activities include Young Leader and Adult training, and fun days.
